  • While I am not currently on an insurance panels, I am happy to help you look into your out-of-network benefits. I work with Thrizer, a company supporting clients get reimbursement for therapy with their insurance.

  • My approach is gentle, relational, solution-focused, and trauma-informed. I integrate attachment theory, inner child work, somatic awareness, and mindfulness to help you come home to yourself — not just in your mind, but in your body and relationships.

  • The first session is a gentle beginning. It’s a space for you to share what’s been feeling heavy and for us to start making sense of what you need most right now. I’ll ask some questions to understand your story, your current challenges, and what you hope to find through therapy. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out — this is where we begin to piece things together, slowly and safely.

  • You can meet with me virtually, in the comfort of your own home. I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform to ensure privacy and can see clients who reside anywhere in California.

I can also meet in-person at a walking/stroller friendly location in San Mateo County.

  • In-person sessions at Nurture and Bloom are designed to be flexible and supportive of your real life as a parent. Sessions can take place in walking- and stroller-friendly locations throughout San Mateo County — such as a local park or trail — offering a grounding environment for reflection and connection.

These “walk and talk” sessions don’t need to happen every time; we’ll decide together when it feels most supportive. Some clients prefer alternating between in-person and virtual sessions depending on their week or needs.

Walk and talk therapy can be especially helpful for parents who feel restless, overwhelmed, or stuck in their thoughts. Moving your body while talking can help release tension, regulate your nervous system, and make the therapeutic process feel more natural and embodied. Many parents find that walking side-by-side rather than sitting face-to-face allows for deeper ease and openness.

  • A joint session is a space for you and your partner or support person to come together in the therapy process. While this isn’t couples therapy, you remain the primary focus of care. These sessions are designed to strengthen understanding, communication, and emotional connection — especially as you navigate the transitions that come with pregnancy, postpartum, or early parenthood.

Joint sessions are used for the service of “Preparing Your Relationship for Parenthood”. Joint sessions can also be integrated throughout your therapy journey. If during our work together, we discover this can be helpful, we can work together to navigate bringing your partner/support person into therapy.

  • You can absolutely bring your baby to session. Please note that some mental health treatment such as trauma work may be limited with your baby present. We may have check ins about how the therapy process is feeling with your baby present and decide if we need to make adjustments.

  • I ask clients to give me a 24 hour notice of cancellation prior to your scheduled session. Late cancellation or missed appointments are subject to full session fee being charged.

  • I am so happy you are taking this step to support your mental health and well-being! You can use the contact form here and I will contact you within 2 business days to schedule a free 20 minute consultation. This is a time where you tell me what support you are looking for and get any of your questions answered. You can share as little or as much as you want!

If there is a consensus that we may not be a good fit to work together, I can provide a list of referrals of other providers you can reach out to.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
